Kia ora

I am Tash, Cantre Manager at Little Wonders Rolleston. I have a busy home and work life. I live in Rolleston with my husband and two sons, one is 6 and a half, he goes to school at Rolleston Primary, and my youngest is 1 and a half, he currently attends early learning in our centre and has done since he was 11 weeks old.

We have a dog named Marley and as a family we enjoy the outdoors, hikes, adventures and camping! I absolutely love working at Little Wonders Rolleston and I enjoy continuously building strong relationships and connections with our families, current and new!

About Little Wonders Rolleston

At Little Wonders Rolleston, we’re all about helping tamariki grow through kindness, curiosity, and confidence. Our philosophy, guided by Kaitakitanga (looking after the world) and Manaakitanga (showing kindness), creates a warm, caring environment where your child will thrive.

Our purpose-built centre features bright and spacious indoor and outdoor areas, giving tamariki plenty of room to explore, learn, and develop. From our weekly gardening sessions to endless opportunities for creative play, we ensure that each child’s individual needs are met in a safe and supportive space.

We offer age-specific programmes for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, with tailored learning experiences and routines to support each child’s developmental journey. Whether it’s messy play for the littlest ones or preparing for school for our older children, we’re here to nurture every step of their learning.

Our Rooms

Little Wonders Rolleston is designed to inspire curiosity and creativity, with spacious indoor and outdoor areas for tamariki to explore and learn through play. From sandpits and gardening to interactive learning areas, every corner of our centre is designed to support hands-on learning in a safe and welcoming environment.

0–1 years

Whakatō

A peaceful, nurturing space for our youngest learners, featuring soft play areas and sensory activities that encourage exploration and development. Whakato is designed to give tamariki a sense of security while providing opportunities for them to discover the world around them.

1 - 2 years

Tupu

A lively, engaging room where toddlers begin to explore their independence. Tupu is full of hands-on learning experiences, from messy play to art and movement, designed to build confidence and social skills as tamariki learn to interact with others and express themselves.

2-3 years

Puāwai

Puāwai is all about fostering curiosity and self-expression. With nature-based learing experiences like gardening, along with art and construction play, tamariki develop fine motor skills and build strong social connections. It’s a space where they can start taking on new challenges and preparing for their next learning step.

3 - 5 years

Pakari

Pakari is designed to prepare tamariki for school with a focus on developing problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity. This room offers a balance of structured group learning experiences and independent play, allowing tamariki to grow in confidence and readiness for the next stage of their learning journey.
