Meet our Centre Manager

Kia ora

Tena koutou, my name is Coralie. I am the Centre Manager of Learning Adventures Katikati. I believe that positive interactions and relationships are one of the most important experiences in a child’s life.

Throughout my career as a registered teacher, I have experienced many different practices, philosophies and approaches to teaching and learning. I am inspired by RIE/Gerber principles and value both the Pikler and Reggio philosophies of respect and their views on capable and competent children from birth. Making a difference to the lives of our precious tamariki of Katikati is an honor.

About Learning Adventures Katikati

At Learning Adventures Katikati, we believe that strong relationships, cultural identity, and community connection are the foundations for children to grow, learn, and feel a sense of belonging. Our philosophy is centered on whānau values and creating a nurturing space where tamariki can confidently explore at their own pace.

Our centre features intentionally configured learning spaces designed to create calm, safe, and inspiring environments for play, both indoors and out. We’re surrounded by the beauty of the Kaimai Range and conveniently located next to the local shopping complex.

Inside our centre, children are grouped by age to ensure tailored care and learning. With dedicated classrooms for under 2s and over 2s, we offer age-appropriate experiences that support emotional, social, and cognitive development through hands-on, play-based learning.

Our Team

We have a dedicated team of fully qualified, registered early childhood teachers who create a caring, inclusive environment where children feel seen, heard, and valued. Our teachers work in close partnership with whānau to support every child’s learning journey.

Our Rooms

Our centre offers a calm, nurturing atmosphere filled with natural light, rich resources, and opportunities for children to explore both indoors and outdoors. From sensory play to outdoor adventures, our spaces support creativity, confidence, and connection.

0–2 years

Tipu Room

In our Tipu room, we create a home-away-from-home environment that follows each baby’s own routine. With a small group size, we offer personalised care, nurturing relationships, and gentle learning experiences that focus on emotional security and early development.

3-5 years

Kea Room

Our Kea room is designed for active learners who love to explore. With a spacious outdoor area featuring a sandpit, bike ramp, and fixed playground, children engage in discovery-based play while building independence and social skills.
