Traditional Cook Island Performance at Lollipops Airport

Recently the Lollipops Airport centre had the privilege of being entertained by a traditional Cook Island performance. One of the preschoolers, 4-year old Khloe performed with her grandfather, nanna, uncle and dad on the Cook Island drums. The children, teachers and other whanau were very lucky to hear from Khloe and her family about the importance of culture and how the Lollipops Airport centre has supported and celebrated the Cook Island culture, as well as others in the centre.

At Lollipops embracing diversity and welcoming culture is not just lip service. We respect and recognise this individuality and try to weave it into the curriculum as much as possible.
