Meet our Centre Manager

Kia ora

I've wanted to be a teacher since I was five, inspired by my caring new entrant teacher. After completing a Bachelor of Teaching (Primary) in 2006, I discovered my passion was in early childhood education and completed a Graduate Diploma in ECE from Massey in 2007.

I’ve been teaching in ECE since 2008. What I love most is supporting teachers to create safe, nurturing spaces where tamariki feel confident to learn and grow. My favourite time of year is summer, perfect for water play and whanau gatherings. Outside of work, I enjoy gardening, beach trips, and spending time with my dog.

Centre life includes regular park walks, imaginative play, arts and crafts, and much more. These learning experiences help nurture curiosity, provide opportunities for both independent and group learning, and support the development of essential skills.

Lollipops New Plymouth is a place where children’s imaginations can soar. Our classrooms and outdoor spaces are designed to meet the unique needs of each age group, providing a safe and nurturing environment where learning happens through play, exploration, and connection.

0–2 years

Teina

Teina is a calm and nurturing space for our littlest learners. Here, infants and toddlers can explore sensory play, soft toys, and familiar routines. The room provides a balance of fun and quiet time, offering a safe environment where the youngest children can begin to discover the world around them.

2-6 years

Tuakana

Tuakana is a bright, creative space where older toddlers and young children can explore, build, and learn. With opportunities for arts and crafts, construction play, and outdoor adventures, this room supports children’s curiosity and social skills, encouraging them to explore new ideas and work together.
