My name is Layla!

I'm passionate about lifelong learning and deeply inspired by how young children engage in the learning process. For over five years, I’ve loved building strong connections with children and their families, helping create a space that feels like home.

Our centre stands out for its inclusive culture, beautiful environment, and breathtaking location. Summer is my favourite time, where we fully embrace outdoor learning. My philosophy is influenced by RIE and Reggio approaches, valuing respect and exploration. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, rainforest hikes, and beach visits around Auckland. I hold a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood Teaching.

At Lollipops Lynfield, we focus on building strong, respectful relationships and embracing cultural diversity to help tamariki thrive socially, emotionally, and developmentally. Every child is seen, heard, and supported as part of our inclusive and welcoming environment.

Our purpose-built centre is warm, bright, and spacious—an ideal place for learning through play. We’re located above a café and shops, with a view of a nearby retirement village, easy access to a local park, and just steps away from key amenities.

Centre life is lively and nurturing, with weekly science, gardening, and mindfulness sessions. We celebrate cultural events like Diwali, Matariki, and Chinese New Year, and support a strong connection to our wider community. Children are grouped by age to ensure learning experiences match their development and interests.

Our Team

We have a passionate and experienced team who create a loving, respectful environment where children and whānau feel truly at home. Many of our kaiako have been with us for five years or more, bringing creativity, stability, and a deep commitment to each child’s journey.
